Tirohanga Camp is the ideal facility and location for any groups like Youth Groups, Sports Teams, School Outings and Camps and Special Celebrations looking for a peaceful space to explore, unwind and enjoy all the activities on offer at Tirohanga Camp and surrounding areas.
Kitchen
Connected to the Main Hall is the Camp Kitchen.
Tirohanga Camp is a self-catering camp. Each group hiring the camp is responsible for their own food supply and catering and adherence to any Food Safety regulations.
The kitchen is well-equipped and can cater up to one hundred guests. All the food preparation implements, cutlery and crockery are provided. The kitchen has one commercial electric range with gas hobs, two free standing ovens, three electric frying pans, assorted sizes of slow cookers, a microwave, double refrigerator, zip water heater, Commercial dishwasher as well as a conveyor toaster, and all the cooking utensils you may need.
There is a large BBQ with a hot plate, positioned close to the kitchen.
Beside the kitchen is our walk-in pantry, extra bench space and a separate bench and sink for food preparation. There is an outdoor sink if required. We also have a couple of large freezers sitting in by the laundry room for your use.
